Shunt Wound DC Motor Cutaway
DAC Worldwide’s Shunt Wound DC Motor Cutaway (273-945) is one of a series of related sectioned industrial motors. This DC shunt-wound induction motor cutaway supports industrial training activities related to electric motor types, as well as repair and troubleshooting. A fractional horsepower, industrial-duty motor is modified for training purposes.
DC shunt-wound motors are encountered in automotive and industrial applications where precise control of speed and torque are required. They are commonly the motive force in lathes, grinders, pumps, lifts, fans, and compressors.
Shell and stator cutaways unveil the complete internal configuration of the motor while showcasing key features such as stator windings, wiring connections, commutator, and rotor design.
The cutaway includes a formed-steel mounting bracket and baseplate, allowing for stand-alone display, bench-top mounting, or mounting on specialized DAC Worldwide mounting benches and support structures.

Colleges are challenged to offer courses whenever students are available – and frequently, wherever they are available. Students want courses that are available on campus as well as from home while also providing strong hands-on skills for the technology demands facing them. Meeting these demands is no small task.
Amatrol has learning programs that allow colleges to excel in this demanding environment. We offer a full range of learning systems, both in a traditional equipment lab setting as well as in a virtual lab, that meet and exceed students' expectations.
