SACA’s Smart Automation certifications use a modular structure to enable them to fit a wide range of individual needs, industries, and educational environments. SACA offers certifications in three categories: Associate, Specialist, & Professional. Each certification is stackable allowing individuals to start with one certification and add other certifications to customize their documented skills. Certifications are occupationally focused so they prepare individuals for specific occupations in the world of Industry 4.0.

Mechatronics Certifications | PMMI

Over the next decade, two million manufacturing jobs are expected to go unfilled in the United States because of the lack of qualified workers. As processing and packaging equipment becomes more technologically advanced, developing a skilled workforce is critical.

Associate Certifications Levels I-IV

Associate level certifications are for operators and fully prepare them for that occupation or can be used as an enhancement to incumbent IT, maintenance technicians, and others. The Associate level contains 4 sequential certifications that work at the high school, first year of college, Associates degree, or as a certificate for incumbent workers.

Specialist Certifications - 3 Strands - Levels I & II

The Specialist certifications certify Industry 4.0 technical skills in troubleshooting, programming, maintaining, and integrating systems. Three strands are offered to match with key skilled occupations. Each specialist strand includes two levels, I and II: Certified Industry 4.0 Automation Systems Specialist, Certified Industry 4.0 Production Systems Specialist, & Certified Industry 4.0 IT Operations Specialist. The specialist certifications are modular certifications consisting of a series of micro-credentials, each with its own examination. Once an individual has obtained the core micro-credentials, a Specialist certification is granted by SACA. The specialist certifications are organized into the core and elective micro-credentials. The core credentials certify the skills that are applicable to all companies, while the elective credentials can be added by the individual to match with regional or specific company needs.

Professional Certifications Level I

The Industry 4.0 Professional certification is an engineering level certification that focuses on design and optimization of Industry 4.0 systems. It is designed in a modular format, similar to the Specialist certifications. This certification is intended to build on selected micro-credentials from the Associate and Specialist certifications.
