DAC Worldwide’s Rotary Kiln Maintenance Training System (241-000) is a heavy-duty, steel benchtop training device that allows for realistic training in maintenance activities associated with large rotary kilns. The training system features a segmented steel kiln shell, which was machined from a schedule 80 pipe, and allows for modification to simulate irregularities in shell construction commonly found in the field.

Using this training system, learners will explore how rotary kilns are used for training in various sectors, including the design, application, control, and maintenance of common industrial kilns. The trainer covers industry-relevant skills, such as operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial rotary kilns in a variety of applications.

This kiln maintenance trainer includes a variety of industrial components, including a drive and roller assembly foundations, nylon roller riding rings, a gear motor, and more. Learners will use these electrical components to study topics such as rotary kiln principles, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting. This system utilizes industry-grade components, providing durability to stand up to frequent use, and to aide learners in becoming better prepared for the tasks they will encounter on the job.

Practice Hands-On Mechanical Skills for Various Applications

The Rotary Kiln Maintenance Training System features a 7-gauge, steel baseplate with provisions for tabletop mounting and adding a magnetic base/dial indicator. A complete, motorized gear and pinion drive system is provided, allowing for establishment of proper mesh patterns. Adjustable kiln rollers and thrust rollers let learners make hands-on, real-time adjustments in alignment and tracking.

The trainer highlights a kiln tube, which was machined from a schedule 80 steel pipe in three sections, allows for adjustment of primary centerline using set screws. It also features a welded aluminum drive, and three roller assemblies, including: detailed soldered brass substructures, adjustable roller pillow blocks, and roller shafts and ball bearing rollers. Through a variety of realistic features, this device allows for realistic training in good maintenance practice prior to performing work in the field, without jeopardizing actual equipment.

Expand Training with Additional Mechanical Options

The Rotary Kiln Maintenance Training System is only one of DAC Worldwide’s expansive mechanical trainers, which also includes a Heat Exchanger Trainer (238-000), a Boiler Tube Trainer (240-000) and many more!

Advanced Manufacturing Skills TrainersOur learning programs develop job-ready skills that have been proven time and again. Take a look at how we can help you be successful!

Colleges are challenged to offer courses whenever students are available – and frequently, wherever they are available. Students want courses that are available on campus as well as from home while also providing strong hands-on skills for the technology demands facing them. Meeting these demands is no small task.

Amatrol has learning programs that allow colleges to excel in this demanding environment. We offer a full range of learning systems, both in a traditional equipment lab setting as well as in a virtual lab, that meet and exceed students' expectations.
